How would you describe your fashion style?

Hello folks!

We always hear the word ‘fashion’ but how you would you describe your fashion style?

Fashion may express your identity, who you are or a glimpse of something about you. Your choice of clothing may also reflect your personality, mood, comfort, your love for particular brands or ethical reasons. For me, I express myself through fashion. It’s like being at a fashion show, where a story is being told through unspoken language.

I am the canvas and fashion is an art – that is why I live my life in colour in all seasons. I can be creative and express myself through colour and patterns. I agree with the quote ‘Fashion is what you buy. Style is what you do with it.’ I buy colourful clothing but my style is colour blocking. I love experimenting with colour but then I like to separate the colours with a patterned garment. Rachel Zoe is spot on when she says “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak…”

I can push the boundaries with fashion because there are no rules. If I like it then I wear it! Fashion is about owning whatever you’re wearing, regardless of price and trend. More importantly, have fun with fashion!

Nowadays, Instagram has become a phenomenon where you can follow celebrities and gain an insight into their life and style. I’m not a celebrity but have a glimpse of my Instagram – sheewearscolour. My page reflects what my style is about.

I follow Alexa Chung and Fearne Cotton on Instagram and love how effortlessly they always look.

Alexa Chung’s style is simple, quirky and very classy .

Fearne Cotton’s style is colourful, bold and quirky.

If you had to describe your style in a few words than what would it be?

I would love to hear your thoughts!

Happy reading!

  1. Love all the color and how well you know and can explain your own style!! I don’t know if I can do that about myself. My own style is perhaps classic with an edgy/ sexy twist? I like luxury items mixed in with affordable. I like some trends but only when I genuinely like them. IE not to just be trendy. It’s a work in progress! 🙂

    1. Thank you for you comment and I love you style – edgy with a sexy twist! I’m exactly like you, I mix expensive items with affordable ones too – always the best thing to mix and match! I love that you’re being you which is the main thing – go you! 🙂 X

  2. I love seeing your posts come up on my instagram feed, because you add a well needed shock of colour! You always look confident and happy in your posts. I really admire people who wear colour all the time – I try and do the same when I can. When I was 18 I got a job at Monsoon, and all the clothes were bright and patterned. I distinctly remember coming into the shopping centre I worked in one day, and noticing that everyone but me was wearing black or grey. I stuck out like a sore thumb in my Monsoon clothes – and I didn’t care! I actually felt sad for all the people in grey and black. I love using colour to express myself, and even when I don’t have the chance, I still have your photos to inspire me 🙂

I loved reading your story and it made me smile because you like wearing bright clothing and didn’t care what others thought at Monsoon (go you!). Also, Monsoon has stunning bright and patterned clothing, and I do love their range. It’s great and inspiring that you use colour to express yourself. Wearing colourful garments does actually make me happy – which is weird! I love your instagram feed as well and you are stunning. I like how you post a bit about of your life each time which I love because I feel that I’m getting to know you. 🙂 Xxx
